It's inarguable that he lives in a huge house.

But the stats and proof from the movie "Inconvienent Truth" are real, regardless of who delivers them.

Just because Swaggart and Jim Baker were conartists, doesn't make everything the preached about God "wrong."

Al Gore isn't stating his own facts in the movie. He is merely the messenger of of them and the fact that he delivers them doesn't make them any less true.

To put this into prospective for everyone. The guy who took Gores job in 2000, Dick Cheney.. Has a private residence in D.C. that consumed over $180,000 in electricity in just the year 2001. And cheney doesnt offset his Carbon footprint. Or Purchase solar or wind generated electricity.... Also, gore uses his home as a office, which has staff.. who drive and park their cars at the place too..

OH yeah, the best part, WE the tax payer cover cheneys electric bill which is multiple times that of Al-Gores.

Al Gore isn't stating his own facts in the movie. He is merely the messenger of of them and the fact that he delivers them doesn't make them any less true.

---> This is from the offical website of the documentary:

"AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH, which offers a passionate and inspirational look at one man's fervent crusade to halt global warming's deadly progress in its tracks by exposing the myths and misconceptions that surround it."

---> Ok. Let's say I want to stop parents from abusing their children...it would probably be a good idea if I didn't abuse my own kids don't you think? No one is really disputing the facts or issues, only that it's a little hyporcritical...like Swaggart and Baker preaching the Ten Commandments while breaking everyone of them.

---> And your point is what? I'm sure when Gore was VP his bills were just as high.

And cheney doesnt offset his Carbon footprint.

---> So? Cheney isn't crusading against global warning.

Also, gore uses his home as a office, which has staff.. who drive and park their cars at the place too..

---> Yeah, yeah, yeah...the first part has been covered already. As for the second...what does parking your vehicle have to do with the amount of electricity/natural gas being used IN the house?

I agree - it's hypocritical. You should practice what you preach, otherwise you do more potential harm to the cause than good. If you really believe in something, why live your life the opposite way? I would be embarrassed to put myself out there as being opposed to overconsumption of fuel, etc. if I were personally driving a Hummer around for example. Same idea.

---> Regardless of the size of Gore's home or that he has a home office, there is NO reason why his consumption cannot be LESS than a comparable situation. Hell, I had a friend who's electric bills were HIGHER for his 900sq ft apartment than for my 2,100sq ft house!

---> I once challeneged a "pro-life" demostrator who had her 4 YO carrying a sign: For the sake of saving a life that you claim you value so much, would you be willing to adopt the baby of the next woman who walks out that door? Just then, this scuzzy looking broad came out the door and Ms CleanLiving drew back with this disgusted look on her face and said no...she didn't know what kind of diseases that woman had, who the "father" was, etc. So much for beliefs huh?

Dick Cheney does not believe there is a global warming problem so what is your point?

I have read elsewhere that Al Gore drives a huge SUV...why not drive a hybrid if you are so concerned about global warming. IMO global warming is a bunch of phooey. We had 0 or maybe one or two minor hurricanes last year so that blew their theory IMO...IN MY OPINION.
