What's everyone up to tonight? Anything?
I'm watching my sweet little neice. She's 2. She and DS get along so great. Right now they're watching a movie and sharing an apple - too cute. Almost bedtime!
She calls me "Aunt Ninny" - trying to say "Aunt Jenny" - so DS has been calling me Jenny all night. He told me a few minutes ago, "Mommy, I'm gonna always call you Jenny now." Ha, no you aren't buddy! :) What's funny is I don't even LIKE the name Jenny! My dad's family and exDSD are the only ones I've ever let call me that, and now apparently my neice and my own son!

My daughter called her nanny "Hiney" for the longest time. When she told me about it, she said she waited a while b/c she thought she'd misheard her but sure enough.. she started getting much clearly on it. And it's most definately "Hiney".
She's slowly migrating it now to "Honey".. but it's about 50/50 between that and "Hiney".
My friend thinks it's positively hysterical. We have no idea where she got that from. She must say "honey" alot.. or maybe it's from potty training. We're not sure. I call dd "honey" alot. But it is funny.

He's engaged to Scarlett Johansen, after being engaged to Alanis Morsette for a long time. I think I could be a better mate than either of those chics!!! ;)

LOL- first time I saw her was in Match Point, ever see that? That movie freaked me out- good reason (among others) to never have an affair with married guy (esp. if he married into a wealthy family)...

I've never seen it, I don't think...I'm HORRIBLE at remembering what movies I've seen - if I see one at home? You can pretty much bet I'll fall asleep before it's over!

I don't watch a whole lot of movies but when I do I usually enjoy them.
I loved Perfect Stranger- that was more of a intense drama. With Bruce Willis and Halle Berry. I forgot about Bruce- I love him too! Ok there are too many choices for men out there!

Is that the one where she's like a checkout girl and she either has a fling with this guy she works with or he's just fixated on her? I can't recall the total plotline. I found it.. The Good Girl?

Ellie tries to call me T whenever she hears the SKs do it. SS15 corrects her; I just pretend like I don't hear her until she says mommy.
Apparently I say "honey" alot. Every time I tell Ellie "no" these days she looks me in the eye sympathetically and says "now honey, I /*garble*/ color /*garble*/ TV /*garble*/ markers, OK? OK? (nodding her head yes). It takes everything I have to not laugh my arse off. She does a pretty good me.

And when they are teenagers and you make them really mad by *gasp* telling them "no", they will call you by your government name, fist.middle.last names, through clenched teeth or sobbing.

How old is she? DD will be 2 1/2 in a few days and listening to her talk is a riot! I hear the "garble garble" thing! I have to listen very closely.. pick out the words I know like color, characters on Noggin. She has a few long words she does.. like alligator, Uniqua, butterfly. She'll have entire conversations. Minutes long. I nod my head solemnly like I the vaguest of clues of what she's talking about, lol.

I say honey a lot too! I remember when exDSD was DS's age and she'd start calling me honey.
DS's new thing is calling people "cookie" - only I think he means it to be mean, but it's so darn cute!

Ellie will be 3 in August. She has many words that she has learned, but somehow we still carry on the conversations where I pretty much have no idea what is going on. Sometimes I can tell from her gestures and facial expressions (which I have to admit are also a pretty good imitation of me too) or a word I pick up here and there, but most of the time I am clueless. When she was younger and she did this we couldn't understand a single word. DH used to joke it was like living with a character from the Sims game (and all of you non-computer/console game dorks out there are wonder what the heck is that, LOL).
I think its funny that she still can't make a "k" sound. So the twins are known around here as Taffrin and Taraline. She also can't make the "gl" sound. We were arguing over her sisters glasses that she picked up and I told her "no, these are sissies glasses" at which point we got into a screaming match over them where she was yelling "No, MY ASSES!" It took everything I had not laugh hysterically as I was trying to take them from her.
