Well, the KEY difference is that a birth certificate is MANDATED to be supplied by a presidential candidate, while tax returns are NOT.

Was there ANY question as to where they were born, and were they born to one or more foreign parents? Interestingly enough, while you want to use Rommney's Dad as a reason he should release his tax returns, there was also an issue with George Rommney's place of birth, which was questioned by Democrats at the time. George was born in Mexico, albeit to TWO citizens of the US, while living at a Mormon colony. When his birthplace was questioned, he produced the proof that he was a natural born American citizen.

That is a flat out lie. Not only have I NEVER claimed to be a birther, but I have said from the beginning that the birth certificate thing was a red herring. That it was a waste of time, and that he was a natural born US citizen. I can see how you might have been confused, maybe thought I was someone else, etc. But know that I have cleared it up for you, all that is left is your apology.

Releasing his tax returns is not just a democrat request. Plenty of republicans are asking for it, too.

Yeah, but you cannot trust republicans..:) If Mitt Romney were to release them because his father did, a tradition, that would make him resistant to change, keeping the status quo. It seems he is taking the progressive solution, and going with change...:)
Everybody release everything, and everyone will stop asking, and no one can say anyone is hiding anything....
