I know SEE is not taught in the school, I'm the one who told you that lol... the parents can name their child whatever they want to, from whatever language they choose to. It is not up to the school to demand a child change their name.
Question... how would you say Hunter's name in ASL...

No, but the parents ALSO cannot demand that it be spelled using CYRILLIC letters. They CAN dictate the LANGUAGE that is used in their school.

Well, I do not SPEAK ASL, but I would guess you would either spell out H...U...N...etc or you would use the word "hunter" (as in one who hunts).
ETA: Suppose I don't want MY child to learn math using the decimal system (0-9) and instead want him to learn Octal (0-7)? Should I be able to demand that the school use octal?

Well, good thing they're using SEE... Signed Exact English... they do use English at the school, right?

No, name signs are not fingerspelled... I'm not aware that there is a word for "hunter" in ASL, so the closest would be "hunt", and guess what that looks like...

Even if a curriculum dictated a student's name... what would be "hunter" in ASL... or "hunt" anyway... I get you don't go to other sites, but maybe others do and will see the lack of logic in your argument.

Yeah, saw that when the stroy first aired. Odd thing was that the parents SAID the "school" said that, but they COULDN'T remember the officials NAME, and there is NO RECORD of ANYONE saying that to ANYONE.

I don't know ASL, as I said before. What would hunter be in Eygptian Hyrogliphics? Doesn't matter, the curriculum at the school is ASL.

I don't go to other sites on YOUR command, I do, on occasion visit other sites on my computer. I saw this story, and AS my children speak ASL, it interested me and I researched it.
