:confused:I am not sure what to do, we had NO kids, cars, money or real estate. I moved out after he assaulted me in a public place. He waited THIRTEEN MONTHS to file for "extreme cruelty".. everything he said in those papers was a LIE! Dont know why he waited. Anyway, spoke to his lawyer a few times already, she asked me if i wanted to go to court, i dont.. and she would file a default on the 36th day, since i didn't "file an answer". She said this would be fast. I dont know what "fast" means. I thought i HAD to go to court.. right? SDhe also said she "was sorry i was so upset over the papers, but they have to "do that".. huh?

Don't let her take a default against you. It's rarely a good idea. A default means you've lost all of your rights. You should at least have a phone call with a lawyer before this goes any further.... -- Mark S. Guralnick, Esq. (973) 682-9999 or (856) 983-9900
