Well, I guess there were just too many problems with the old open board, so we're going to this format.

Glad to see you both here!!! Used to be Karen, now Karen1. I too liked the old format better, was much faster reading the threads, especially checking for additional posts not already read. We will get the hang of it here though.

It's kind of familiar to me as it's used on another board I read, but it's not my favorite format. One nice feature is you can toggle a thread to your "favorites" list. Posts with new unread threads come up a different color, but only the first time you log in since they were posted...doesn't stay that way if you come and go.

My all-time favorite board format still is the old Compuserve forums...you could see a whole thread and the posts were bold until you read them. Easy to tell where you were and to navigate. You could see who responded to who. Even unflattened, this board is confusing.
