Ok. After 20 years of providing all the food groups in perfectly balance nutricious meals that noone really appeciated or gave a jack crap about I have on occasion since no one is watching had smoked salmon on crackers followed by a jelly donut for dinner . I mean not all the time but sometimes I just eat stuff for dinner I just feel like having AND TO HELL WITH THE FOOD PYRAMID. Anybody else do this?

Yup!! When the kids aren't here I eat what I feel like eating - sometimes just peanuts or cashews for dinner. No sense in dirtying up a bunch of dishes for one person for one meal.

You're right. I've eaten some interesting meals recently.
You mentioned the wonderful food pyramid. I heard on the news recently they are revamping the whole pyramid conceptbecause Americans managed to get fatter since using the pyramid, rather than smaller, which was the goverments original intent. Just a little kernel of knowledge....

Of course, that is one of the ups of divorce..NO MORE GETTING NAGGED AT. I like to snack healthy but some of my meals are a little off the wall at times (s.a. my vienna sausage/leftovers casserole).

I've been known to crack open a can of corn on occasion. Followed by the biggest hot fudge sundae I can make.

New here, a mover from the old recovery board. I have some real weird meals now, in fact same as some of you all posted. Glad to hear I am not alone in that. I seldom cook a full meal anymore, seems senseless for one person. I really appreciate when the grocery will have healthy choice, smart ones etc. on sale at 50% off, I really stock up then. Have 2 refrigerators from when stbx and son were still here and I keep them fairly full. WHen the divorce is final and I have resettled somewhere permanent I am buying a freezer. THe meals aren't bad, and best of all, just silver ware to wash.

Wouldn't know! I wasn't smart enough to stay single for very long.
Just kidding...my favorite meal was popcorn and Milk Duds.

Not so weird as much as celebratory. There are certain foods I love that my ex did not like and banned from our menu. I could only have them when he was out-of-town.
My ex had bad teeth and didn't like food he had to cut with a knife (LOL). Things like lamb chops, steak, and grilled chicken are now regular dinner meals. :D
