Oh...I didn't realize that Cinder's address goes to the same place.
It's not just for DHS cases....it includes everyone who pays through SDU.

Rebecca, no I dont think so, I just wanted to start paying a little more towards the arrears since I got a raise instead of going back to court and it being considered regular child support I'd rather it go to what I owe.

You're trying to get around reporting a raise to stave off an increase. If you start paying on the arrears, she'll wonder where you got the extra anyway. It may hold it off only a little longer. But then, if she makes a good argument that you should have informed the court of your change in wages and that you didn't, she could get any increase retro to the raise.

Unless you're talking more than a a couple of bucks an hour on EITHER side, it's a waste of time. I know in Arizona, unless CS is going to change by at least $50, they won't do it.
I was just playing with my state's calculator. Parent A and B BOTH make $2,000, 1 child...straight support. Parent B would pay $336. Parent B gets a one dollar raise ($173/month), CS goes UP $23. Parent A gets a one dollar raise, CS does DOWN...$6. Doesn't seem fair.

Perhaps not, but I think the guidelines figured that if the child is living with Parent A that Parent A is likely to spend more of their earned dollar on the child. It's "generally" a valid assumption. Doesn't always work that way, but more often than not.
