[Policy for payment of Special Advocate fees (family and child investigator) It appears that you sign over your consumer rights to this group. PLEASE have an atty work to protect your family resources if you are court ordered to use a family court helper.

I authorize Katz & Loizeaux Forensic Services LLC to keep my signature on file and to charge my VISA or MASTERCARD account for services provided and/or retainer payments and/or replenishing retainer payments.
I understand this form is valid for two years unless I cancel the authorization in writing. I promise not to dispute charges (“charge back”) for services or for a scheduled appointment that I have not cancelled 24 hours prior. I further authorize Katz & Loizeaux Forensic Services to disclose information about my attendance/cancellation to my credit card issuer if I dispute a charge.
Les Katz, one of the members of this group, served on the sub-committee that wrote the standards of practice for the Special Advocate role. There over 50 “SHOULDS” in these standards of practice. “Shoulds” are not enforceable and do not guarantee accountability or checks and balances. The Special Advocate role is now called something like the Child and Family Investigator role.
Mental health professionals do not have to abide by their professionals standards of practice when serving in these court appointed roles. And individuals serving in these roles are given quasi judicial immunity. From my experience it appears they are given a license to scam families in conflict. They do little or no follow-up on the outcome of the children and are not required to produce any type of outcome. They do a report to the court and if you read the whole agreement converse with both parties attys. It appears to me that this means if they charge $100 per hour and the atty charges $200 an hour, you and your soon to be x each are paying @ $300 an hour for them to converse. Protect your family resrouces. Please protect your children from being victimized by our family courts and the family court helpers.
One of my colleagues was court ordered to use a Special Advocate and a Parent Coordinator. A member from this group served as the Special Advocate. The bill for the family court helpers attys etc was over $42,000. That’s three xero’s not two.
After all this the court order is not being followed. Please protect your children and your family resources. Avoid our family courts and the appointment of a family court helper—special advocate, family and child investigator, parenting coordinator or family decision maker.
