If you help people I don't see what the big deal is. Seems like its just an international borders dispute to me. I read your site, I think most of it was consistent with my experience and other people I've talked to.
Did you go through a mess yourself and make it out? I've never heard your story.
I liked Australia by the way, went to Sydney last year - cool town, only been there once though.

There's no problem with someone coming here and giving advice...if they are professionals all the better. But to blatantly promote their own agenda and material (for a profit!) is NOT acceptable!
Shohn, you have a website, and you have your own viewpoint on some things, but you are not coming here and promoting it all for profit. You have a lot to say, much of it from your own experience, some of it very helpful. You give most of it freely here in your posts.
But Royce just redirects everyone to his website. Not much from him in the way of helpful posts posted here. So I have to wonder how much he gets from his sponsors for every hit? See, that's the way he makes money.
I won't disparage his credentials, but it's the WAY he is promoting himself that draws criticism.

Correction, Royce. You passed yourself off as a therapist and not one whose credentialing is limited to crisis intervention. It's only slander if your credentials have been made public and I make disparaging remarks calling them into question, at least under this country's laws which are pretty common throught the several states in cases like this.
If you will recall, I asked for your licensure/credential status quite some time ago. You failed to respond other than with name-calling and threats. Therefore, you were fair game. Now that you've finally disclosed your status I shall forbear remarks about your credentials and confine them to your self-agrandizement which I still find objectionable.
It's rather ironic as I was, in a former life, a certified crisis intervention/suicide prevention counselor. However, that did NOT qualify me as a relationships counselor. That is left to licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, psychologists and licensed clinical social workers to handle.
Oh, and I feel SOOOO lucky and relieved. Have you looked into that anger management program yet?

In fact, only oral statements are technically "slander." If you wish to be precise, in the print medium, it is called "libel." They both come under the canopy of "defamation."
Yet, it was none of those. Questioning credrentials, which occurred repeatedly, is not defamation.
