Just started the divorce process... I'm an electrical contractor (home based, no shop) with 4-6 guys, varies depending on work load. I wear the bags every day too, then hammer down on the administrative end after hours. No help from the wife either, although I doubt that matters. I'm getting wildly different opinions on how the vultures will value the business, and knowing how affects a lot of my divorce negotiation strategy. The wife offers to keep her hands off the business in exchange for the house with its $160k equity. I say that screws me royal. Or does it? Anyone out there in a service type business like this, and what happened when you got divorced?
