DITTO HERE TO SRS.

Dinner, Movie, Someone to talk to on phone, Sit on couch (I have leather..softer..)to watch a movie. To do stuff with..That paraphrases EVERYTHING.. I would be ONE happy person.

I bet if this group got together, hell, we would be doing ALL the above, with no strings attached.

Badasp,

I must admit no observation of any relevance to your quandary.

As my father was so fond of saying...."Not knowing son, I hesitate to reply."

I have found that EVERY woman I have "dated", "seen", "kept company" with since my event/demise (divorce, whatever) has only tried to dig her claws in all at once and that shiznit scares the livin' hizell right out of me!!!

What do you consider "dig her claws in all at once" type behaviors?

Perhaps we all have different expectations...

Redlegg,

We need a lake, a campfire, and a cooler full of refreshing beverages on a night with nothing better to do than ponder.

Thank you for all of your insight and observations.

And lastly, yes, I am perhaps a bit jaded and the last couple of years have been surreal..................

1004SRS,

I mean talking about committment and expecting it. (way too soon) Totally ruins a good time. Why can't someone just let things be for a minute and see where it goes?

I agree as well, that we probably all do have different expectations. It's finding someone who appreciates yours and vice-versa, I think that seems to be the crapshoot! ;)

Long term relationships aren't nearly as much about finding the perfect person as they are about finding the person who will put up with you and vice-versa!!! ;)

Drew,

I take a calculated risk and agree with this observation. I think that part (the long term relationship) scares the crap out of me because of the one that did not work and it probably has the same impact on the normal divorced women, so there is the reason they are not out there! We all are a bit jaded and probably tad bit picky about who we might dance with the next time around. (nothing personal about the dance thing Willie!)

I have to agree...How about learning something about the person other than their physical attributes ?

LOL I like your T-shirt ideas...but on the back I think it should I do NOT have: bipolar, schizophrenia, anger management issues, personality disorders or any other diagnosable mental illness. LOL My stbx sure as heck couldn't wear one of those ...his would say "on my way to central state, they have a room reserved for me"

Better yet, if we could only find a way to get "them" a scarlet letter or something? If we are the "normal" ones (boy is that ever a subjective concept) then the non-typicals should bear the identifying marks.

How about shirts for them imprinted with something like
"Your just mad because the voices are only speaking to me!!"
They might go for something like that.
