My wife and I lived in NC when we became legally separated. I have custody of my daughter and she has custody of my son. My daughter and I moved to Iowa 1 1/2 yrs ago. I would like to file for divorce. Does anyone know if I can file in Iowa or do I have to file in NC?

If you've been there over a year, you've passed any wait point to file. So either of you can file. Are you sure she hasn't already filed in NC? Make sure of that. If you trust that she's honest with you, ok. But if not, check the court records to see.
