Any advice with the following situation is much appreciated...
South-American woman comes to Florida. Gets married, is abandoned, destitute, returns to Paraguay before having a chance to attend the INS interview for immigration purposes.
Currently she's living in Paraguay where by law she cannot get divorced from her US husband. Also, she is not legal to return to the US since her immigration record has been redflagged by the INS. From what i have researched, she cannot get divorced in Florida since husband won't cooperate and she cannot appear in Florida court. Result: legal no-man's land...
I welcome suggestions for this unusual situation.
