Does anyone know the law about holding a recording device visible to all while talking with ex?

I believe you can, even without the other party knowing. As long as one of the parties know (for instance a 3rd party can't record a 2 party conversation).

Here in oklahoma it is not leagal to record someone unless they know...NOW let this be known you can record tapes of voicemailes and so on bc that person DOES know they have been recorded bc they are the one who left the message
