Protect family-Don't be scammed by a parent coord.
      #34473 - 09/30/05 07:32 PM

Colroado, Maryland and Lousianna--warn those you know who are using
the family courts--Please don't let them or their children be
victimized by someone serving as a parenting coordinator. Please
avoid getting caught in this co-dependent relationship between the
courts and those serving in this type of role. WARN OTHERS.

Two states are slated to receive training on the parent coordination
role—the role that has no evidenced based research behind it and
the role that has been documented to be ineffective. Please warn
families you know to avoid the family courts and avoid parenting
coordinators.

Many "shoulds" in the AFCC standards of practice
for this role. Don't let families you know become victims of the
codependent family court system and parent coordinators. In Colorado
the parent coordinator is only for NON-INDIGENT families (hint-
hint). Don't be scammed find a better right answer. Avoid our
family courts.

Colorado domestic court usage is DOWN. Maybe this is part
of the reason. Please don't let your family become victims of a
system that provides no consumer protection against parenting
coordinators. Protect your children and your family resources from
the "should" parenting coordinators.

Chritine Coates chaired the committee that wrote the AFCC standards
of practice for a parenting coordinator. The standards are filled
with "shoulds", provide no checks and balances and no
protection for parents or their children. Don't let your family be
victimized by someone serving as a parenting coordinator. See who is
presenting in other states. Please for your children's sake avoid our
co-dependent family courts.
