Does anyone know how to remove a document that was filed in my case that i do not want the judge in my case to consider anymore as valid? I filed a motion and received a hearing date, but no longer need the hearing for that reason because stbx and have resolved all out issues and we want to proceed as an uncontested matter.
Thanks in advance for any help

You have a couple choices. You can send in a notice of settlement letting the court know that you don't need the hearing. You could also file a written agreement on the issue (or all of them, if they're all settled now). This will also signal that you don't need the hearing. You could even call the judge's secretary and advise that it's settled, so they can give the time to someone else. The secretary will let you know what is needed to officially cancel the hearing.
You can't 'remove' a document filed in the court, though.
