am new to this forum..was married for one year, been separated for last 18 months..can't afford attorney fees..no children..no marital property..am in TX..she is in CA..is going for paralegal, instead of attorney good idea?..please advise..how can i file myself..where to get the petition forms? . Thanks!!

In your case, if you are not afraid to stand before a judge for the final jusgement, I would say a paralegal would be fine.

Sometimes the county clerk can provide examples of the forms they use if you try and do it all yourself, it wouldn't hurt to ask. If you get paralegal help they should already have something they can mod.
