MY wife has left me. She isnt convinced i can change..I do have a bad temper...I dont hit her or our daughter. No way, But i get angry over daft things and sometimes punch walls or throw things (not at anyone)....She has said she wants me to go to anger management.I have agreed....Do i go see my doctor about this and he will arrange an appoitment for me?

Most psychologists offer such insuight and can recommend classes. Punching walls and throwing things can result in a restraining orders which should be avoided at all cost.

Well change for the better is good... The problem with anger and breaking "non-animate objects" is that your wife and others may say that it will eventually lead to hitting someone..i have heard that from many people that have the same moments. well i dont agree with that... at least you are venting elsewhere hitting a wall or non-animate objects... maybe the best thing to do if you dont do it already is when you get mad just leave and go outside or do something to get your mind off it.. i know people say "take a deep breath and count to 10" im not saying that but do whatever you think will get your mind off of whatever your mad at... as long as you dont throw anything at your spouse i dont think a restraining order would be anything to worry about... i guess try not to hit or curb your heated moment which i know is a tough thing to do....
