interesting question (nothing to do with CS)
      #389744 - 04/14/08 09:08 PM

My husband's ex is now dating someone with the same name as my husband. Both their first names are Mike. Now i have a question and i apologize for posting it here, but I know how active this board is and so I thought I would see if anyone had any ideas. She has been kind of diffcult lately, more so than normal. Could it be that dating someone (they say they are in love and are going to get married) with the same name as a man who she said she still loves (about a month ago) and that they went through A LOT of bad stuff with has caused those feelings to resurface because she is dating someone and calling that person by the same name?

Just curious.... I can't imagine it NOT affecting her, but I thought I'd ask and see what you all think.

Maybe it doesn't have anything to do with the bevy of Mikes. Maybe it's just because SHE is a nutbag.

Just throwing that out there as a possibility.....

My husband's former coworker married a woman who had the same name as his first wife. So there are two Amy Smith's running around out there. My husband said he would not do it. I certainly could not, but my ex's name is not all that common anymore.

you all are too funny!!! Never quite thought about that, however she has had many other men in between this one with different names... :-) I just can't imagine if i got divorced, being with someone with the same name, it would just be weird....

I have a common first name and a common last name (locally). DH's ex and I both share first name, middle initial, and last name. Of course, there are three others in our small town too with the same name, just different middle initials.

Makes things a real pain at times.
