last year the eve before father's day DH called SS at 11PM to secure a call on father's day (all calls are CO'd to be returned within 24 hours). no call...monday morning he called before school. BM's excuse was she didn't know what time DH called b/c he didn't say it in his message.
fast forward to this year...he calls at 8PM the eve before father's day to secure the father's day call. this time he left the date and time....again, no call. they called this morning.
so, for those of you that haven't figured out the type of person DH is dealing with yet this is just one more thing to add to the list....
oh yah, and she called back immediately in april so DH couldn't talk to SS on SS's birthday and SS never received the cards that were sent to him in the mail.
5 more days and we'll have the munchkin for the next 51 days!!!

Well, she probably didn't have ss call back since dh will have him for his summer visit in 5 days... yes, I am being facetious... try to ignore it and plan a surprise Father's Day bash for next Sunday when ss is with y'all...

ha ha not funny! we're taking him to the lake to go on jet skis next sunday! that is going to be a blast. this week we're just renting one to see how it goes, but we are considering to buy one.

Oh yes- we've dealt with this! One thing I enjoy about SD being old enough now is we don't need BM there to remind her (not that she EVER would) to call back. SD does it on her own. Don't have to worry about BM packing a bag with no matching socks and NO undergarments... SD packs her own bag and makes sure she brings what she wants. No more buying her expensive items that somehow 'got lost' or left at an 'old boyfriend's house' that BM no longer speaks to. SD is responsible for her own things and that all has worked out 100 percent better than when SD was a young child and BM was the responsible one.

yes i am preggers! 22 weeks and i'm due oct 20. it's a girl...reece monroe will be her name. SS does not know yet because we didn't want to create more drama with baby mama drama, but he'll figure it out next weekend i'm sure.

AWWWWWW!!! What a perfect time to have a baby- I love Fall and Spring babies. I think partly because EVERYONE (except my children) were born in the Summer and Winter in MY and DH's family.
How great! And a girl, which will be nice since SS won't be as jealous if it the baby was a male too.
What a beautiful name too!!!! How exciting for you ALL :)

yes SS has been asking us to give him a sister since he has two half brothers with BM...so we will be happy to tell him about it. i'm sure he'll be excited to have another little one running around.

Nah, he'll just think you're FAT... our youth pastor's wife was like 10 month preggers when she made a comment about the upcoming baby...ds8 was totally confused and asked "what baby?"...when I told YP's wife, she was laughing and said, "So, he just thought I was geting FAT?"...yup, he did...

yah that's what DH said....he won't notice me so much, but he will see the crib in his room! (he said he wanted to sleep upstairs, unless he changes his mind to have the 3rd bed and bathroom downstairs) HA i've gained 9 lbs so you still can't really tell unless i'm wearing fitted clothing.
