Hi everyone new to the message boards. I hope maybe someone can shed some insight. I got married 20 yrs ago my husband had left one month after that. I have trid to find him paid an PI to find him no such luck. I have went to the counties and tried to find divorce records no such luck. How ever i did find a court record on him in a child custody case with his parents i was not able to read the file. The lady was nice enough to show one part that stated that he was married and divorced before me and that he had married me and was for only months and he remarried again after me. I can not find any records my companion wants to get married anyway. I don't want to get into trouble we have children and we don't have money I do not know where to go at this point. It has been so long. I hope some one can suggest anything. Thanks for reading....

Usually there are abandonment laws for marriage- I'd say for 20 years should be sufficient to get a divorce. Consult a lawyer to get the low down.
