My girlfriend and i after 8 years have split up. Her car was repoed. About 4 months latter i told her i would buy a car and she would be responable to maintane and insure the car and could drive the car as long as we were togher. See things had happend in the past where we had broken up 4 times before. I paid cash for the car $3050.00 i also paid the tax tags and title fees. I titled the car with her as the owner and me as the co-owner so to protect myself in the event she and i split up. At any rate i told her if she wanted to keep the car she would need to pay me half the blue book price of the car. because the trans in the car went out and she paid $1900.00 to repair the car. Any ideas on what i need to do?

Yeah, NEVER EVER put something of value in another person's name and sign for it.
Sorry, you are just as responsible for paying the debt of the car as she is until the ownership is changed.

There is no debt. its paid for. do i have to file a claim in small claoms court? to get my money back?
