I'm saying if he got seven cavaties in the span of one year, he may not be taking proper care of his teeth. Something to talk to the dentist about, is it improper care, is it bad genetics? Maybe he can assist SS in preventing future cavaties. That's all really.

I had one cavity my whole life and I go to the dentist every year or so to get a cleaning. They always want more, they're like a car dealer..."how about this, would you like this, we can do this, have you thought about this"...etc, etc. It eventulaly needed a root canal and finally had to have it pulled...had I known they could yank it, I would have skipped the root canal.

Ack - never had a root canal.
Although having my wisdom teeth cut out was one of the most painful experiences of my life...I had an allergic reaction to the pain meds, and was sick for 3 weeks!

I've 24 root canals and have all my teeth crowed. This was not due to bad oral hygiene; it was do to extensive radiation treatments on my eye sockets.

What? Now you know you have to elaborate on that agui!
I forget about my wisdom teeth though, got all four at once and it was the worst!

I didn't know about that. What type of radiation?
I'm asking because my D had radiation treatments for her opic nerves.

I suffer from Graves disease. I’ll try to make this simple…My Graves settled in my eye sockets about 6 years ago. This is not too common with Graves, but it is heard of. I had to under go 5 orbital decompression surgeries followed my radiation each time. It’s a bit more complicated than that, but that’s the jist of it.

Yep, I still have it. D HATES to see it but I felt I should keep it.
We were told that you could only have radiation in a cetain part of the body only once in a lifetime.
