If your child has told you this then yes there are a couple of things that you can do. First, contact CPS and take your child in to talk with them, second take your child with you to the court house and tell the family court judge that you want to file an emergancy custody hearing due to these facts. contact "Get even Legally.net" for more help..

Since you don't know the history, I will give you a brief rundown.X has been an alcoholic/drug addict since he was 13 and he is now 37. I didn't know that when I got with him. I ddin't know the extent of his problems til we had been together awhile. He was abusive to me, my DD12 and our DS9. He had put his hands on DD11, which is our child, but nothing like he did me. I decided to get out, he filed divorce in order to try to keep me, got custody of our 2 kids, tried to get back with me. It took me over 2 years to get the divorce because he was being a butt. His visitation is 3 hours 1, 3 and 5 Saturday of the month, on the other weekends, he gets 3 hours on Sundays. All of this is null and void since he has missed over 300 visits. I let him have the kids at the beginning of the summer because he was living with his parents. I thought it would be ok. How stupid of me, right??? A week or so into the visit, I call our DS9's cell to talk to the kids one evening, the X answers and he is drunk, with the kids in the car, driving. He lives 200+ miles from me and this was at 10 at night. DH and I drove all night to get the kids. Will I give him another chance? To quote someone else, when hell freezes over and the devil sells ice cream. No way, no how. Of course, there are other problems with him. Like the fact that his GF just had a baby that may/may not be his. And she just turned 18. Sorry this is so long, but I feel the need to expand on some of this. Hope you got your answer through all of this. ;-)

You kinda have a major situation on your hands here..I will give you the same advise, contact :Get even Legally.net" They do charge you a one time fee but are there for you for life, so it's well worth it. My ex said all kinds of crap about me and tried for 3 years to take our children, and they really helped me with everything that is why I tell everyone about them.( And I totally agree with your little saying about friends..lol)

Oh, the situation is now under control. Their dad comes here to see them supervised, or he doesn't see them. Actually, he doesn't come see them, but you get the drift.
