Forced to pay for attorney fees
      #594137 - 11/01/09 05:20 PM

I am looking for a creative way to pay my attorney fees. I fought in court to not have to pay, as my marital settlement agreement stated that if I had to take my ex to a court of competent jurisdiction to enforce the agreement, the prevailing party would be entitled to attorney fees. I was the prevailing party. My attorney "forgot" to pray for attorney fees in the original motion, and therefore my ex's attorney fought back and said that I had waived my right to attorney fees. The judge had stated that I was entitled to fees and had reserved jurisdiction. I put in writing and sent via certified mail to my attorney that I would not be paying any additional monies and that he needed to put an agressive plan in place to resolve this issue at no additional charge to me. My attorney continued to work towards winning the fees. We ultimately lost, and now my attorney sued me for fees and he won. I paid child support to my ex for five years, while he refused to let me see the children, I paid attorney fees to have him found in contempt which he was, and now I have to continue to pay for the incompetence of my attorney. I can't do this. I am asking for anyone who has an idea of how I can get donations to please email me. I was thinking of starting a website and asking for $1 from 9,100 people. That would cover the fees. I don't want to make any money off of other people, I just can't continue to fund my own abuse. This has totally done me in. Any suggestions are welcome. I have to start paying soon or I will be charged 8% interest as well.

1.) Get another job
2.) Take out a loan
3.) Use a credit card
