OT-It is only hate if it is against muslims
      #596648 - 11/07/09 07:32 AM

Why is it we seem to believe that muslims are the most hated group in America. The numbers tell a different story. If a gunman had walked into a mosque and killed 13 people and wounded over 20, it would be called a hate crime against islam. Why is this shooter at Ft. Hood being protected by apologists. He gave leftover broccoli to his neighbors, he called people to say goodbye, he gave furniture away. Part of the problem he had at Walter Reed was arguing with returning veterans about how the war was wrong. He made the Anti American statements to other soldiers. He was yelling Allah Akbar as he fired away. There is no question, this is the largest terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11. We have become so PC that we refuse to protect ourselves, and when we try, we, as a country, cave in to shouts of racism, profiling, whatever it takes to sound like we are PC. I wonder if anyone thinks homocide bombers are sane, if they are perfectly normal people who agree to strap explosives to their body and kill themselves, or fly planes into buildings. Are they insane, misunderstood people, who could use some counseling like the poor Dr. at Fort Hood, or are they cold blooded killers filled with hate?

1. A shooting at a Southside mosque on Friday that sent a large-caliber bullet through an interior hallway happened much earlier in the day than originally thought, authorities said Monday.

OsamaBah-loul, imam of the Islamic Society of South Texas at 7341 McArdle Road, said he discovered broken glass above a rear door of the mosque at about 6:10 p.m. Friday. Police first reported the shooting likely happened between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. -- when the building was vacant.

But after police and the FBI conducted interviews during the weekend, at least one person reported hearing gunfire at about 2:30 a.m. Friday, a time authorities now believe the shooting happened, said FBI special agent Patricia Villafranca.

The bullet pierced the top of a metal door frame, traveled about 30 yards down the hall and pierced a window above the back door 10 inches higher than where it entered. Investigators found that a second round struck a metal fence made of spaced rods spanning the mosque's perimeter, Villafranca added.

Corpus Christi Police Chief Bryan Smith said he is convinced the incident is a hate crime instead of a random act.

"To me there are too many coincidences," Smith said. "We found what we think is a round from a high-power rifle that tore through a building that happens to be a mosque at the start of Ramadan."

The mosque's roughly 600 members are celebrating Ramadan, a month of dawn-to-dusk fasting, prayer in mosques and giving to the poor, which this year began at sunset Wednesday.

2. Shahid Amber, 24, was approached by the alleged perpetrators, ranging in age from 15 – 17 years, who shouted, "You f****** terrorist. Go back to your country," before punching him in the face with brass knuckles. Mr. Amber was hospitalized and told he would need reconstructive surgery. Shortly after the incident, the teenagers were arrested and charged with gang assault and a hate crime.

"We condemn this senseless attack and applaud the work of the NYPD in apprehending the alleged perpetrators of this heinous assault on Mr. Amber and by extension on the Muslim community," said Joel J. Levy, ADL New York Regional Director.

Mr. Levy also praised the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office for charging the teenagers with a hate crime, stressing that, "This should send a critical message that hate crimes against any community, including the Muslim community, will not be condoned in our city, and that those who commit them will pay a hefty price," Mr. Levy said.

Honor killings against muslims

In the Atlanta suburb of Jonesboro last month, a Pakistani immigrant allegedly strangled his 25-year-old daughter with a bungee cord because she was determined to end her arranged marriage and had gotten involved with a new man. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Sandeela Kanwal's father, Chaudhry Rashid, "told police he is Muslim and that extramarital affairs and divorce are against his religion [and] that's why he killed her." In court last week, a detective quoted Rashid: "God will protect me. God is watching me. I strangled my daughter."

In Upstate New York a few weeks earlier, Waheed Allah Mohammad, an immigrant from Afghanistan, was charged with attempted murder after repeatedly stabbing his 19-year-old sister. The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle reported that Mohammad was "infuriated because his younger sister was going to clubs, wearing immodest clothing, and planning to leave her family for a new life in New York City" - she was a "bad Muslim girl," he told sheriff's investigators.

On New Year's Day in Irving, Texas, the bullet-riddled bodies of the Said sisters - Sarah, 17, and Amina, 18 - were found in an abandoned taxi. Police issued an arrest warrant for their father, an Egyptian immigrant named Yaser Abdel Said, who had reportedly threatened to kill them upon learning that they had boyfriends. According to the Dallas Morning News, Yaser Said was given to "gun-waving rants about how Western culture was corrupting the chastity of his daughters."

Noor Faleh Almaleki just wanted to be a normal American woman.

The striking 20-year-old from Iraq, who'd lived in Phoenix since she was a young girl, wanted her hair and makeup to be perfect, her clothes to be fashionable. She wanted a job, a degree and a husband of her choosing.

On her Facebook page, Noor posted photos of herself and wrote: "I am spectacular," punctuated with a smiley face emoticon.

But Noor's father had a much different ideal for his daughter: a life in strict line with traditional Iraqi culture.

He made her quit her fast-food restaurant job and arranged for her to marry a man in Iraq she didn't know, according to friends and family.

Finally, police say, 48-year-old Faleh Hassan Almaleki put an end to what he perceived to be his daughter's rebellious life. Using his Jeep as a weapon, he allegedly ran her down in a parking lot Oct. 20 in what prosecutors are calling an "honor killing" to cleanse what he considered were indiscretions to the family's honor.

Why is this shooter at Ft. Hood being protected by apologists.

---> Because he was an 'American', because he fell through the cracks of the 'system'.

Sort of like Officer Crowley, Christopher Seifert, Gregory Stone, Francheska Velez, Aaron Thomas Nemelka, Michael Pearson, Jason Hunt, Michael Cahill, Amy Krueger, Kham Xiong.......

The crack in the system killed people, the crack in the system is not saying the obvious, the crack in the system is not wantign to offend anyone, even at the cost of the lives of citizens, the crack is trying to make everyone like us, the crack is winning a nobel peace prize, the crack is no longer a crack it is a fissure.
