My wife wants me to move out of the house, which is in her name and she bought 6 mo before engaged. She currently makes the mortgage payments, as I just started up a biz and don't have extra capital to pay for an apt. Is she responsible to help pay for me to find a place (she closed all our joint bank accts and took the money)?

Yes, of course. She is also responsible for your laundry, and must pay you an allowance.

It's an honest question for someone in a not-so-good situation. I don't need sarcasm.

The short answer to this would be no, you'd need to be financially responsible for yourself.

You could be imputed to an income that you previously made so I wouldn't count on SS. What is the disparity in the incomes? (Using the past couple of years as the basis for your income?) State?

Tell her you'll move out when the divorce is final and all money is divided/figured out. Save your money up in the meantime
