I tried an in-house sepertion with my husband and had to leave the house because he was touching me in my sleep and I got scared. The property is Duplex and his family rents out the other side. He wants to just get an aprraisal and take 1/2 the other debts off the top and that will leave nothing for me. Does the fact that the house has 850.00 a month in rental income coming in help me? The duplex is on one deed and my name is on the deed NOT the mortgage. Also, values and appraisals are based on comprable properties that are sold in the area. Our property is sooooo unique in the fact that it has a 40 x 45 foot workshop on the property that our joint business is run out of. A business that I helped build, did all the back end paper work and also did physical labor when times called for it. I can frame and roof with any man out there. I'm gonna lose my ass aren't I just because I had to leave because he was sexually obsessed. We also have three kids we share 50/50 for two of them and our 18 year old stayed with him. I want them full custody because he has both of the youngest in bed with him everynight to fall asleep with a movie (8 year old boy, 10 year old girl) and allowed our 8 year old to be locked out of the house in a non-heated sunroom for a period of between one and two hours, my son said " I thought I was gonna die mommy, I was freezing"!!!! What can I do?????
