can you not a lawer wright up separation papers and they be leigal if so dose anyone know how. thanks

guess there isn't a ton of help on here. anyways, I'm no expert, but I went by the family court office at the court house and was told that if there are not children involved then you can file for separate maintenance by yourself. if there are children then you are required to have a lawyer.

dedee16 is right - scbar.org has a do it yourself divorce kit but if there are children or property in dispute you can't do it yourself. I don't think a separation agreement is enforceable unless it's been approved and made part of a court order by a family court judge.
