I married a Pakistani citizen/resident in April 2009. I left Pakistan and came back to South Carolina without him the same month. He has never lived outside of Pakistan, and I had filed a petition for a Spouse Visa for him, which I am now withdrawing. How can I divorce him from South Carolina while he is living in, and has always lived in Pakistan. I do want to do this on my own without an attorney if possible. There is no record of our marriage here in the U.S. courts, only on the immigrant Visa petition I am cancelling. The Clerk of Court office says they have never had such a case before and were no help.
