re divorce court or civil
      #635144 - 02/19/10 07:29 PM

Divorce settlement x agreed to be responsible for back 2006 and 2007 taxes, signed statement saying he would be responsible for 2007 taxes, if I would file jointly with him, as he got a better tax break, signed before taxes filed even

He didnt come to a payment agreement with irs until after they took my tax refund of 4046. applied to the back taxes

I applied for innocent spouse, of course the irs denied, he has made no effort to repay me, and ignores any attempts to come to some agreement for repayment, he repaid what they took from state refund, and stimulas, via divorce agreement,

Does this go thru contempt of divorce order, or a civil matter? And opinions of what will happen and or how do i get it back?

contacted my attorney, he is sending letter to exs lawyer, stating he has 14 days to rectify situation or face contempt of court charges, I gave him over a year and made many attempts to come up with a payment plan, he has refused any effort to make an ammicable solution

I told her fine send me an itemized bill of charges then I will pay any fees rendered to myself as patient, she said I cant do that its against privacy laws, if its my bill what privacy laws are broken??

So this deadbeat won't pay the US Government. What makes you believe that he would ever pay you regardless of any judgement you get against him? The attorney fees are good money chasing bad.

business is paid for and clear, in divorce states he is responsible for 06 and o7 taxes, he made no payments or attempts with irs, until they sent right to seize notice, then he calls them, after they took my single tax return

he paid half down and signed agreement to make 4 payments over next 4 months to stay out of court, does pay to keep your lawyer paid up i guess
