Ok,in a nutshell, my wife hasn't worked for years, even before we were married. We are currently seperated, but not legally. I'm going to be filing for divorce. We currently rent.Both our names are on the lease.
My question is, could the judge order a temporary order in which I still have to pay the full amount of the rent every month even though I do not reside there?
Has anyone been in this situation? Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes. I had to pay the mortgage for 2 years after we split.

How long is the lease for ? Can't she move when the 12 months is up ?

She could, but there is no motivation to do so, when the rent is free

If he advises the property management company that he isn't intending to lease the apartment again in his name, she's going to have to do SOMETHING.
Either lease in her name only or move -- doesn't mitigate the fact that you'd still probably be ordered to pay the rent or some type of support.
