divorce and appraisal
      #698017 - 10/15/10 01:15 AM

Me and my wife have been legally separated since 2006. All debt, vehicles, and her being able to stay in the house were agreed up on. In 2008 we both decided to drop the divorce to try and save the marriage. This lasted all of two months, and I filed again in May of 2008. She then got another appraisal in 2008. Here it is 2010, we are about to have our final divorce hearing. I want the house sold. She's taken care of the house and all the bills/taxes since 2006. We owed 33k on the house in April 2006.

Does my equity go back what we owed in 2006, or 2008? Which appraisal do we use? Do we need to get a new 2010 appraisal? Since the housing market has dropped dramatically will I get equity from the 2006 date for what the house is worth today??

Also, we've been in mediation twice, with absolutely no good results. We both want the same personal property. How will the judge decide who gets what? Thanks.

Jason
