Hi, My ex was court ordered to pay 35% of the school tuition. He has put a stop payment on the school draft. I'm looking into going to court on my own for contempt. I'm not sure if I go it alone it the judge could just remove his obligation all together. The cost of a laywer is too much at this time. I was told at the time that the tuition is contractual and part of the parenting plan, so it can't be removed. My ex states he can't afford to pay tuition. Anyone have any experience with this? Kids have been in the same school since pre-k. Now they are in 5th and 9th grade. Help!

Has he lost his job or suffered some financial loss that would change the figures that CS was calculated with ?
You could request that he be made to pay your legal fees as you are only going to court because of his screw up.
