Polygraph????
      #706478 - 11/15/10 07:02 AM

I am beside myself married 9 years in a very abusive relationship physically emotionally. Ex tried to settle. and I refused now I believe he called my job told them I was on probation and now I have lost my job. The first time he hit me my daughter called the police on him but I didn't file charges I just left the house the abuse continued but I just stayed like a dummy this last incident was horrible my teenage daughter saw everything, stiches, bruises and fractured bones, they finally call him in for a statement then me and they ask ME to take a polygraph; and now I have no job. How much more abuse can someone take I just can't take it anymore

Are you still living with him??? I hope your out of there and in a safe place. Your daughter is a witness to your abuse, although its hard to get the kids in the middle of it, she may save both of your lives by talking to the local sheriff, if he does not help you, go higher up...... dont give in to this abuse any more or you may end up on the bad end of the stick.

I realize you are afraid of him, i have also been there. Get away to a safe place.

Polygraphs are not admissible in court. There has been some movement toward seeking polygraphs from the accuser and alleged reporter. It cannot be compelled however. Frankly, I think it is a good idea.
