My SS is set to run out in about 7 months married 8 years full time mother in CA to attorney gave up my job for domestic duties per his request even though we were only married 8 yrs he wrote up the divorce papers to say that I could re apply (?) for continued support like a long term marriage. I had a terrible accident and surgery during our marriage. I'm unable to hold down a full time job, but don't have enough work credits to get Social Security, so I really don't have many options if I don't want to become homeless. My question is this, does a judge ever extend SS past the ending date?

>>>>>>>> Yes , once awarded it's modifiable unless specifically named as nonmodifiable . It's a good idea to make the attempt before the termination date .

Typical situation, women usually don't seriously consider going back to work until the SS runs out...Its either that or god forbid, find another man to pay your bills. Hopefully the next one will blacken both your lying eyes...

Yregna - you need to get a life. You obviously do not value women in the least. You are the very reason women do not take care of their men.

"You obviously do not value women in the least."
Actually, he is treating them as EQUALS, and there can be no greater respect than that.

Well, actually, it seem YOU Are the one wanting to be taken care of. I mean do you still go to your ex;s house and do stuff for HIM, in exchange for the money he s paying you?

Well, after being married to him for a lousy eight years, and GETTING a period of alimony, is it respectful for HER to want MORE alimony cause she hasn't found her way yet?

You didn't answer my question. Do you consider the comment respectful, is this what it means to you to treat a woman as an equal, there is no greater respect than hoping someone will blacken her eyes?
