"It was a very personal story and I can understand why she wants to keep it that way and deleted it."
I appreciate the respect, Sherron.
"I don't think $50,000 for SS is reasonable" Please stop thinking the 50k is all for spousal support. It is NOT. I've said that before.
Um.....what YOU said when gr8dad asked you if the $53,000 was for alimony after a 13 month marriage was......
"It is for the temporary spousal support that he did not pay me for over 2 years"
We are trying to assess the situation with the info YOU GIVE US. If you could keep your story straight, it might help......

I hope I didn't say that, exactly. Could you please direct me to the post. If I did say that, I stand corrected. I have said REPEATEDLY that it is not all for spousal support. I was hoping people could understand that we were not asking for sp. support after the final decree but retro support for those many months before that. Please point me toward that erroneous post.

Maybe if you read more closely, you could follow.....instead of trying to find any slight error in my writing b/c you are just hopping in on occasion and reading a bit, then taking things out of context to further your argument. It's pretty obvious to me what your strategy is. Your interest is not in finding the truth but in finding me to blame.

"He washed his hands before opening the door."
Yeah, okay, good thing you don't teach at a medical school. According to you, he BEAT the furniture to "splinters", yet WASHING his hands got rid of it all.
Okay, now I am REALLY trying NOT be a smart ass here, but where do you think the blood on his hands CAME from? Do you think it squeezed out of his PORES? No, it would have been from CUTS on his HANDS, which WOULD NOT wash off. And, trust me, I know this from EXPERIENCE< when you hit something with your fist as solid as WOOD, your hands SWELL UP.
"They also questioned me, doubted me, as they should, to determine who the primary aggressor was. In the end, they all looked at him with anger and put the cuffs on him."
But according to YOUR story, when you got to the bottom of the stairs, they were FIGHTING with him. The where KNEEING HIM IN THE GROIN, wrestling with him, etc. Sorry, police do NOT wresle with a person, then stand there and have a conversation to see what happened. DOES NOT HAPPEN.
"The detective I talked to told me not to go there again, but this was after I'd already spoken to both my dept. chair and the dean about whether or not I should resign. It was they who suggested I resign and call the police."
A DETECTIVE told you the solution to a person stalking you at your job was to QUIT YOUR JOB? If I had never BEEN to Virginia and known better, I would swear the state is population with MORONS.
"I've said it before, you sound like my ex..."
Of course, cause I MUST be an abuser if I don't buy your little melodrama. Maybe that story works with your current batch of friends who don;t KNOW any better, but it ain't flying with someone who has BEEN there and DONE it. It just does not WORK like that.
"If you were my husband, I'd definitely nail you to the wall."
If I was your husband, I would nail MYSELF to the wall...LITERALLY.

So if I'm reading this correctly, you voluntarily quit your job? You weren't forced to do so.

Yes, he showed up at her job, she called the police, the police, SUPPOSEDLY, told her to stop going to work.
Of course, considering that fact that he ex has the ability to wash CUTS and BRUISES off of his hands, after BEATING furniture to "splinters", maybe they were afraid that he was supernatural or something? LMAO!
Spinner, ever see a pair of knuckles what been in a fight? Can you "wash them off" and no one can tell?

Regarding the 'private' story, I only mentioned it because your post made it look pertinent......
you said "The suit was never filed. She closed it before doing that."
grdad asked you "What did her supervisor say when you reported that she had accepted your case, then never filed anything? "
and you replied, "If Red, Sherron or Miranda want me to give all the details, I will. Not you, azzhole."
If you were referring to his earlier posts questioning the validity of the abuse, that's fine.....and I'm certainly not questioning you on that......but the way the thread reads it looked to me that the details in your pm referred to the issue of what you did when lawyer number one dropped the ball.

You most certainly did say that exactly.....
Reread page one.....it's right there.
If it's not all for spousal support, what is the breakdown ? That's kind of an important distinction to make when this whole thread has been about '$53,000 for a 13 month marriage'

Just another example of you implying the whole amount was for the spousal support......."The spousal support you say I don't deserve is for temporary support that I should have had while the divorce was pending, not for anything after that. I could have asked for spousal support for 6 months after the final decree, but I did not. "
