While over seas I filled out a 102 form instead of a 103 to file for divorce. I now have a default. How can I amend the peition?

What does that even mean? You need to contact the courthouse and ammend the petition. You can usually fax file it.

I contacted the courthouse and they are the ones that told me I have to amend the petition, however, since I am filing w/o a lawyer I don't know the proper wording to amend it since it was the form and not wording that was incorrect. Any suggetsions?

I don't know about that. What state are you dealing with and why don't you hire a lawyer? How can you be in a default situation if you are overseas? Invoke the SCRA

I'm in Louisiana. I can't afford a lawyer. I am no longer over seas. What is the SCRA?
