My parents divorced when I was just three months old, this of course did made life difficult for me as a child growing up. I cannot emphasise enough how important it is for parents to put their selfishness aside and put their children first. If the last resort is divorce, parents should endeavour a system is in place to help their children cope and move on with their lives successfully.

Well Said. Parents, stop having children. If you do, suck up your own pleasures and stay married until the "fight " passes. It will pass. I have been married 30 years now and trust me, it gets better.
