In a situation where there are retirement assets being divided for one person in the divorce, who pays the costs involved in a QDRO?

Well, I can tell you this much. If it is your pension, I would take care of it myself regardless of the cost.It`s going to cost somewhere in the 600.00 to 800.00 range.Always look out for your own interest.Hopefully its an amicable divorce.

I agree with the previous poster - I wouldn't let someone else handle the QDRO.
