I have been trying all summer to work out a new child schedule with my ex for school this year. I have tried to get him to mediate and he keeps ignoring me. I sent him a list of 5 mediators and asked him to pick one and I'd make the appointment. He ignored me again. The only schedule he will discuss is 50/50. How do I get him to open up to other options? We have a court date on the books but I'd rather settle it ourselves. Any tips to get him to negotiate?

Take yours and your ex's name and reverse them in your proposal. Would you agree to it? If not, you might want to rethink what you are proposing.
