What a freaking complicated story here, but I would love some input.
My BF's ex-wife is addicted to a computer game. She has no job, she spends most of her days and nights on this game. She has a "boyfriend" who she's "known" online for 2 years, but they only "fell in love" within the last month or so. She and my BF have three kids together.
I found out last night that this "boyfriend" will be here in a week or so... TO MOVE IN WITH HER AND THE KIDS!
I freaked out, she's never actually met this guy. My BF asked for his name and where he lives to check him out, and she freaked out. To the guys credit though, she was online with him (go figure) when my BF called and he offered up the info without hesitation.
She does not have a clue why I or my BF should be concerned about this situation. I did a few hours of web crawling looking for anything about this guy that was dangerous. Didn't find anything.
Oh, and he's 15 years younger than she is.... and unemployed.
Any advice on what else we can do to protect the kids? We'd both love for her to find someone to live with her and cater to her obvious issues, but my spidy-sense is on alert when she's stupid enough to move someone in who she's never met face to face even once.

There's nothing you can do unless you have money for legal representation to attempt to get a no-cohabitation clause. But, do you live with your BF now? If so, you would be under the same rule.

Neither of us has any problem with someone living with her, but someone she's never met? He could be violent or a drug addict or alcoholic, she's never spent any face-to-face time with this man.

Unless you can prove harm to the child, there's nothing you can do.

She's an idiot, but you can't do anything until you know of a direct threat.
