Hi everyone, I am divorced, and now luckily remarried in a healthy relationship this time, but still carry scars from my divorce. It was the most difficult thing I've ever had to manage. My divorce was finalized while beginning my PhD and I've dedicated my research to divorce and remarriage since then. I am currently studying divorce and communication in relationships and how that might impact adjustment following divorce. I study this because my divorce was so painful, I want to learn as much as possible to hopefully be able to help others with the information I gather. Divorce is still so prevalent and consistently rated as one of the top most difficult experiences to manage, I believe understanding what can help people manage the divorce better is so important.
I'm currently conducting research for my dissertation on communication and divorce outcomes. I am seeking individuals who are, or have been, legally divorced (not currently in process) to access a survey online that will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. You will be asked questions about interactions during your divorce with your ex-spouse, a family member of your choosing, and a friend of your choosing (you can, but don’t have to be close with any of them). You can remain totally anonymous, or choose to be entered into a drawing for a $15 Visa gift card, and/or to receive the summary results of the study. To access the survey, or to learn more about it, visit https[censored]ssp.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_cHk23dMx8klEt1y (Insert in place of the censored the missing ://) Thanks for your consideration -Sarah Wilder, University of Nebraska-Lincoln
