Just Do it

I have been reading these post for a while now. I have been divorced for 2 yrs now. When
reading some of these post it brings back the feeling of hopelessness that I had when deciding
what to do. Some of the situations I read here are awful and you just want reach thru the
screen and shake people.

Yes it tough. Yes its hard. But yes my friend there is a great life after divorce. My situation…best
friends for 6 years married for 17. Two beautiful girls. Gambling Ex wife, bankruptcy, credit
cards and lies. For years tried to keep in under the rug and stay for the kids but it was just too
much. 1st year of separation I arranged for the kids to have occupancy of the house so as not
not have too much burden on them. I highly recommend this for those of you in a state where
365 days of separation is required.

For those in doubt or unsure go seek an attorney and they will give you the guidance and
support. Yes its tough on the kids but children are resilient and cope…. In fact they adjust
better then the parents do.

Just get the ball rolling. You start off in a fog. Then once you have a path you begin to see
things more clearly. Don’t wait and don ask but what if this? What if that? Just do it!

The Divorce part is easy! It’s what leads up to the Divorce that is hard!
