I am recently divorced and I have two children under the age of 5. I have Primary Custody and am engaged to be married to an Army soldier who is stationed in a different city over 5 hours away (driving) from where I am currently 'required' to live to suit the judge and my ex.
Of course, we will be going back to court to argue our case...does anyone know of a parenting plan suited for this situation or one that has worked for them? This move isn't a permanent one, we hope to be back in central Texas within 2 years. This move is not to harm the relationship between the children and their father, but in a mobile world where we have Skype, FaceTime, etc...I don't see how a court system can prevent me from moving or telling me I have to only date within my county until my children are of age to choose who they want to be with.
Thanks!

The best plan will have you giving him the children for the two years you will be gone. His time and contact with the children should not be reduced due to YOUR choice to relocate (and lets be honest, it IS your choice). SO if you think being that far away for ONLY two years is okay, then YOU do it.
