Here’s a quick rundown of my situation:
My wife and I have been separated for the last 4 years, I live in Oregon, she lives in Minnesota.
I've wanted a divorce for the last couple of years, but she told me if I wanted it then it was my choosing and I had to pay for all of it.
I don't have the income to afford a divorce at full cost
My wife contacted me yesterday and told me she's met someone new, and now wants to move on with her life, and now she wants a divorce and told me she would split it with me.
The divorce would be completely uncontested, there's no children in this marriage between us, no property, and we've been apart for 4 years, so I would think this should be a cake walk.
She wants me to get it started, it’s needs to be pro-se, as I can’t afford an attorney, nor do I think I need one for a simple divorce, but I’m kind of stumped as to what to do at this point.
I’ve looked on line for paperwork to fill out and submit to the courts, and I keep coming up with these google hits for a 3 step, (they fill out the paperwork for $300) then I submit it to the courts for who knows how much more ….help, I want to get this done, but need to keep the cost down.
She’s wiling to give me $150 towards the divorce and I come up with the rest, I can do 150, maybe even a little more, but not much more then that.
Thanks in advance.

We used this one. You fill out the blanks, send in the money, they'll print it out in legal verbage, you send it to the courts. We were legally divorced two weeks after sending it to the courts. No appearance was necessary.

Thanks Gecko,
I downloaded the forms and filled them out, I even talked to my wife over the phone and told her I had found the paperwork and would be mailing it off to her as soon as I got it filled out, and now she’s dropped off the face of the planet again.
I haven’t been able to get in touch with her for over two weeks; she doesn’t answer emails or her phone, and she’s never given me a mailing address so technically, other then she resides in Minnesota, I have no idea where she at.
Every time I’ve tried to get a mailing address she disappears.
The phone number I have for her is to a disposable cell phone, one of those pre-paid phones you can buy at places like convenience stores.
I’m starting to wonder if I should give up on this “easy out” method and just file for abandonment and put a local ad in a Minnesota paper or something.
I honestly think the only reason she hangs on is for the insurance, I have really good medical insurance and she uses it a lot.

What you need to do is file for a regular divorce then attempt to serve her at her last known address. You'll need to send it certified, return receipt.
To serve via publication, you will need to document all attempts to locate her. That you served her at her last known address, that you attempted email, call her. That you tried locating her through relatives. And since she is using your insurance, you will want to see if you can't get an address from that source and 'serve' it too.
Once you do 'due diligence' in trying to serve her by 'normal' means, you will then need to petition the courts to serve her via publication. You will need to contact the a newspaper with a large circulation in her last know area and have them publish the Summons for I believe, 3 weeks.
The newspaper will then at the conclusion of the run, send you the necessary documents to show that it they did and you can then use them to apply for a 'default' divorce.
Going this route is time consuming, but the savings on medical insurance will be worth it.

since my last post, she emailed me and gave me an address, I then took the papers to a Notery Public and signed everything I was supposed to sign, and mailed them to the address she had e-mailed me, I sent her a message telling her the papers were on the way and she emailed me back and said she would sign and return ...... the papers arrived to her destination yesterday, I'll keep you posted
