Volkswagen moved into my town and they are bringing in more factory jobs but most are through temp agencies for $10.50/hour. Now $10.50 is more than $0/hour but it still isn't much when you are trying to support a family.

[quote]Well, at least that stylish package Bush and Obama passed kept UE from going over 8.5%, huh?

>>>>>>>>> It's too bad unemployment was ALREADY over 8% when he took office .
BTW , it took Reagan 3 years to get under 8% . Over 4 years to get it below 7% .

Oops, nevermind. But I am SURE this healthcare plan will work...BAER.

">>>>>>>>> It's too bad unemployment was ALREADY over 8% when he took office ."

You mean when PRESIDENT Obama took office. I was talking about SENATOR Obama, who, while a member of the LEGISLATIVE branch. Sorry for not being clearer.

"BTW , it took Reagan 3 years to get under 8% . Over 4 years to get it below 7% ."

And now, 3 years AFTER Obama took office, it is still above 8%. So are you saying Reagan was better than Obama?

">>>>>>>>> As opposed to the nonexistent one Republicans have offered ."

Its the same as the plan to regulate the sale of MILK, and the plan to regulate the sale of TOYS and the plan to regulate the sale of ANY product that is none of the Federal goverment's damn business. Yep, they can regulate SAFETY and STANDARDS of a product, but they got NO business regulating or mandating the PURCHASE of a product or the level of quality above or below a certain level.

Why give a "senior" discount, they have had plenty of time to raise the money...

I used to work for CAT back in 1992 and made 17.50/hr of course that was Alaska - if the job were in the lower 48 at that time it would have been around 12.00/hr which in 1992 wasn't too shabby - came with bookoo benefits too.

I would not be able to find anything comparable today...

And now, 3 years AFTER Obama took office, it is still above 8%. So are you saying Reagan was better than Obama?

>>>>>>>>>>> Nope , Saint Ronnie didn't have as bad an economy . Don't forget , as well as his tax cuts , he also produced the largest TAX INCREASES in HISTORY . PS , he DOUBLED the national debt . Stimulus anyone ?

Actually, I have held them responsible, on many occasions.

" >>>>>>>>>>> There's a plan , DO NOTHING"

Yep, things function best with MINIMAL government intervention.

">>>>>>>>>> Ooops , I meant TRIPLED ."

Obama quadrupled the deficit. Does that make him a bad president.
