Yeah...it's so sad. I grew up listening to her. Praying for her daughter and family.

So sad- one of my first taste of music was her, "I Wanna Dance"... I also read that she sent her 18 year old daughter to rehab last year for cocaine addiction. Only 48- sad, sad day.

I saw that! How sad. I also grew up listening to her. The Body Guard was one of my all time favorites movies.

I was at a party last night when I heard the news, several of us got text messages. I must say I am somewhat surprised to hear the details as they emerge. They now say she was found under water in the bath tub!

I heard that as well and that prescription bottles were found in her hotel room, but no alcohol. MTV and VH1 were playing some of her videos. I would love for this Music channels to go back to MUSIC for longer than a few hours after the death of a famous musician.

I guess I am one of the few that doesn't care she died.... she had talent.. but I won't pay tributes or glorify a cracked addict.. regardless of what they did or didn't do in life... It wasn't sad it to me..... She had no impact on my life.... I do feel badly for her children. Hopefully her life on crack taught them a valuable lesson.

I do not feel badly for her but for her children and family. She has had a battle with drugs and alcohol for may years and has been in and out of rehab several times. She is a beautiful singer and at one time a beautiful lady but drugs ruin many lives every day and she had the money and people around her that would get what she wanted (very sad) so she had it all at her disposal - just say no.

It's so sad to see so many famous people turn to drugs. So many have died from it and their lives and the lives of their families and friends ruined because of it. I have never wished for fame - and I have never envied that lifestyle. It seems more negative happens to the famous than positive, because of their choices to indulge in that lifestyle. It's truly sad.
