My bad, I guess I should be happy that the state allows me to send my child to a school that they CHARGE me for, even if my child doesn't attend, or if I even HAVE children.

I looked up Tyson chicken nuggets and get... 5 pieces 270 calories, 17g total fat (4g saturated), sodium 470mg, and carbs of 15g. Never seen a chicken nugget without carbs since they are normally breaded.

That one is funny, no children get educated, too funny. Since that is what you got out of it, you are correct, there is absolutely no proof, that no children get educated. Good catch....I could not even possibly begin to try to prove that, it would be insane to try to prove it. It would be stupid to say that no children get educated. Anyone who could possibly come up with that would really lack some common sense. You are right, there is no proof. You are 100% percent correct.

Most likely the "chicken" nugget wasn't chicken... it was turkey with applesauce filler..... IJS
In our state, we've cut back so much on "fat" that the kids are not getting enough.... my dear friend is over nutrition at a middle school and was telling me all about it over the weekend....
Salsbury steak is turkey with applesauce

She also only cooks raw veggies... no frozen... They eat REALLY GOOD! But she is pissed because they took out the whole milk and put in fat free milk which she said was the dumbest thing ever because all you get with fat free milk is SUGAR.... she is fighting it now in the district... LOL!

No way to know. You don't know what nuggets they had. You don't know what that turkey Sammie came on (white/wheat/rye), you don't know the cheese or condiments, the type of juice, was it organic or just Mott's? How about the chips, baked/fried/pita...and a banana. Well that is an easy one finally.

I happen to agree that the government and schools are overstepping their bounds. What happens if you are raising your child as a vegan, and the school thinks that the child needs meat?? Should they be able to give the child meat?? My sd got in trouble once in jr high for bringing a peanut butter sandwich her mother had made to school, because one child in the school had a peanut allergy. Why should the entire student body be banned from having peanut butter because one child has an allergy? It seems that the child w/ the allergy should be kept seperate if its that bad.
